Peter is presently the Managing Partner of the Firm.
For 28 years, he has enriched MF&G with depth of knowledge and professional faculty. Peter's impressive education shows a passion for law from the start. He earned his Bachelor of Laws from the University of the West Indies, his Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford, his Certificate of Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School—and was a Rhodes Scholar for Jamaica in 1985.

- Secretary, Jamaica & Commonwealth Caribbean Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committees
Peter has also served as a Director of the Kingston Restoration and Chairman, Coffee Industry Board Pension Plan.
As the former Head of the Firm's Commercial Department, Peter has been involved in many Mergers and Acquisitions, including those on behalf of Glencore AG and UC Rusal in the bauxite industry; Complant Sugar Company (China), which acquired the assets of the sugar industry in Jamaica; American Airlines (aviation) and Cemex (cement), and various hotel acquisitions.
In the realm of Pensions Law, Peter advises foreign and overseas clients. His passion for Intellectual Property Law takes him far beyond the firm's walls. He has served as Chairman of the Jamaican Bar Association's Intellectual Property Committee and has been a Lecturer and Course Director of Advanced Intellectual Property in the LLM degree course of the University of the West Indies. His practice has focused heavily on trademark prosecutions, notably on behalf of Diageo, Costco, K-Mart, Nestle, Batmark, Johnson & Johnson and Kimberly-Clark.
His publications include "Protecting Bob Marley's Face: The New Tort of Appropriation of Personality"  55 Cambridge L.J. 56 and "Legal Framework of Non-Profit Sector Organizations" published in "The Gift: Journal of Caribbean Philanthropy" 2006, UWI.
Peter Goldson is a member of the International Trademark Association.
