Krishna has been with Myers, Fletcher & Gordon since October of 2010 and his areas of practice include Real Estate, Planning and Environmental Law, Energy, and Admiralty Law.
Krishna commenced his legal practise in the firm’s Litigation Department where his work spanned all aspects of general civil litigation before moving to the firm’s Property Department which he presently heads. Prior to practicing as an attorney-at-law Krishna worked in the public, private, and third sectors in Jamaica, the Eastern Caribbean, and the United Kingdom where he provided regulatory advice in relation to large housing, resort, port, and highway developments, coastal zone and natural resource management, and energy and related carbon management issues.
In addition to his legal qualifications, Krishna holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Botany (UWI), and a Master of Marine Management (Dalhousie University).
He formally served as a Director for the Caribbean Coastal Area Management Foundation and he is a past President of the Jamaica Institute of Environmental Professionals (between 2012 and 2016). Along with maintaining his membership with the JIEP, he is also recognized as having Practitioner grade qualifications by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (United Kingdom). In August 2016 the Government appointed Krishna to the Advisory Board of the Forestry Agency. Krishna is the convenor of the Jamaica Bar Association’s committee on Constitutional Law.
