Sanya Goffe is a graduate of the Norman Manley Law School, holds a Bachelor of Laws, LL.B (Hons.) degree from the University of the West Indies. Sanya joined the firm and was admitted to practice in 2003.

A member of the Firm's Intellectual Property and Commercial Departments, Sanya's practice covers contentious and non-contentious intellectual property, advising on trademark and copyright issues, managing local and international trademark portfolios for major companies in electronics, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and other fields, prosecuting Jamaican trademark applications including assisting in the litigation of trademark appeals, opposition and cancellation proceedings, infringement claims involving trademarks, copyrights, trade dress, celebrity names and images and negotiating and drafting license agreements and security agreements.

Sanya also practices in the area of pension law and manages the legal related aspects of several Jamaican pension funds, advises on various pension law and pension fund matters, including the drafting and preparation of pension plan constitutive and compliance documents as well as the conversions of pension plans.

A former Commissioner of the Fair Trading Commission, Sanya practice also encompasses consumer and competition law as well as general commercial law. Sanya has written and lectured on subjects including the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, anti-counterfeiting, brand protection as well as consumer and pension law issues and has successfully negotiated on behalf of clients with Jamaican regulatory bodies including the Jamaica Intellectual Property Office, the Customs Department, Office of the Registrar of Companies, National Land Agency, Private Security Regulatory Authority, Broadcasting Commission and the Financial Services Commission.

Sanya is the Convenor of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Jamaican Bar Association and a member of its Social Affairs Committee. Sanya is also a director of the Pension Fund Association of Jamaica as well as the Co-founder of the Adult Learning Centres of Jamaica, a non-profit organisation committed to improving the literacy and numeracy of adults in Jamaica.
