Sandra Minott-Phillips is a very able and experienced litigator, and a partner in the firm's Litigation Department. Sandra was admitted to practice in 1989 and is the holder of the B.A (Hons.) degree in English and Mass Communication in addition to her LL.B. (Hons.) degree.
Sandra practices mainly in Kingston and now appears almost exclusively in the Civil Divisions of the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal. She also does appeals to the Privy Council in London as the need arises. She practices mainly in the area of complex commercial litigation and has
extensive experience in complex litigation relating to civil fraud, banking and securities, intellectual property, corporate structures, pension schemes, real estate, and insurance law as well as in the more general areas of contract and tort. She is one of the few practitioners at the Civil Bar who has also practiced at the Criminal Bar.
Sandra is a member of the Council of the Jamaican Bar Association. Several of her articles have been published in the West Indian Law Journal and, at present, she is an associate tutor at the Norman Manley Law School of advanced Civil Procedure.
