Adrian Cotterell is an Associate in our Litigation Department. He was called to the Jamaican Bar on December 8, 2015. He is young, enthusiastic and eager to learn all the skills to become an excellent litigator.
Adrian was known for mooting while he was a student at the Norman Manley Law School and the Faculty of Law, Mona. He was part of the Law School team that ranked 2nd in the 2014 Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot held in Frankfurt, Germany. His team also won the prize for the most outstanding team from Latin America and the Caribbean. Adrian was also an advocate on the first ever team from the Faculty of Law, Mona to enter the Caribbean Court of Justice Mooting Competition held in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad in 2013. His team placed 2nd overall and was awarded the Best University, which was the first mooting prize for the Mona Campus Faculty of Law.
During his three years at the undergraduate level at the UWI Mona Campus, Adrian was very involved in student leadership. He served in various capacities on the executive bodies of the Debating and Public Speaking Society and the Mona Law Society. While pursuing his studies at the Norman Manley Law School, Adrian was a tutor of the Law of Torts at the Faculty of Law, Mona Campus.
If you go to a reggae concert in Kingston, there is a good chance you might find Adrian there, as he is an avid fan of the genre. He also enjoys documentaries, film and football.
